Flag PhotoWhether you are cooking out at your home or out on the water, the Fourth of July can be one of the most dangerous times to suffer an injury. (See Safety Tip Links Below).

As usual, our biggest concern is Drinking & Driving (or) Drinking & Boating, so PLEASE use common sense and don’t ruin the holiday by getting a DUI or, worse, harming yourself or others!

Even without being impaired, the Fourth of July is one of the most deadly times to be on the road.  Click here for statistics from Yahoo.com.  And even on a regular day, Mississippi is one of the most deadly states in which to drive.  Just check out these Mississippi accident statistics from City Lab.  BE SAFE MISSISSIPPI!!

Increased Law Enforcement Presence

As WTVA points out, like any other holiday, the Mississippi Highway Patrol will be increasing patrols to keep us safe!  Thanks Troopers!

And, something that is happening more and more often, the Mississippi Department of Wildlife Fisheries and Parks is going to be out in force and increasing patrols to keep boaters safe.  They will be out looking for intoxicated boaters!
