Even without the holiday weekend, Mississippi is one of the most dangerous places in the country to drive a car.  Mississippi has more traffic related fatalities per capita than any other state.

Today in North Mississippi WCBI is reporting that a man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a pick up truck and WCBI is also reporting on the death of an elderly man in a singe car accident in Saltillo.

In Jackson, WLBT is reporting on an crash where Police have charged drivers with DUI after there wreck.

WAPT is reporting on the death and critical injuries sustained by two good samaritans who were trying to help a disabled motorist get out of the road on Saturday.  WJTV has video footage of the victim’s relative speaking about the tragedy.

WLOX is reporting that a motorcyclist was killed when an SUV rearended the motorcycle.  According to the article, the driver of the SUV admitted to taking his eyes off the road.  Things just happen to fast to allow yourself to be distracted while driving.
