Actos and Bladder Cancer-Mississippi Attorney

Actos and Actos Combinations are drugs used to to treat type 2 Diabetes.  They increase the body’s sensitivity to insulin.  Actos is also known as Pioglitazone.

The FDA has recently notified healthcare professionals and patients that the Agency is revieiwing data from an ongoing, ten year epidemiological study designed to evaluate whether Actos and associated drugs are associated with an increase in bladder cancer.  Additional studies show a significant increase in the diagnosis of bladder cancer when people have been prescribed Actos and Actos Combinations over a longer period of time and at higher doses.
