Remington Model 700 Rifles on Trial
You may have heard about the Remington Model 700 rifles firing without the trigger being pulled. Remington has never admitted any wrongdoing but has paid numerous victims across the country for their silence and a release of liability.
A class action was filed in 2015, but it does not appear to cover the injuries or death of anyone. Remington managed to keep this issue under wraps for decades. This may be a strategy to avoid liability for the serious injuries and death that the gun has caused.
Timing is Critical
If you or a loved one has been injured or killed due to the spontaneous discharge of a Remington Model 700, you should speak to a lawyer immediately. As long as you have the weapon, a lawyer can have the gun examined and determine whether or not there is a claim to be made. You can call our injury lawyers at 662-533-9111 to see if we can help.
Settlement Class Members may be entitled to: (1) have their trigger mechanism retrofitted with a new X-Mark Pro or other connector-less trigger mechanism at no cost to the class members; (2) receive a voucher code for Remington products redeemable at Remington’s online store; and/or (3) be refunded the money they spent to replace their Model 700 or Seven’s original Walker trigger mechanism with an X-Mark Pro trigger mechanism.
